"The Door"
 
This is a hand printed art work inked from a linoleum block carving. The original drawing was sketched on paper then transferred to a piece of linoleum block where the image was carved using specific tools. The block is then inked by  rolling the ink with a brayer onto the surface and only the raised parts hold the ink. Paper is placed over the inked block and hand burnished onto beautiful Japanese paper.

Print is signed and numbered by the artist. Included with this print is a certificate of authenticity.
 
Hand printed on beautiful creamy Uwa Senka handmade Japanese paper. This paper is made from 100% Thai Kozo fibers which are the inner bark of the Mulberry tree. It is a strong yet thin and translucent paper used for printmaking. It has a nice feel and takes the ink beautifully. This paper has hand torn edges.
 
The ink used is Cranfield Caligo relief oil based ink in black. 
 
Each print comes with a pair of cotton gloves you can use to protect the print when unrolling and handling. A care guide to unrolling and flattening print for framing is also included. 
 
Your print will ship within 1-2 weeks or sooner depending on inventory. Your print with come carefully wrapped and shipped in a hard protective tube.
